Thanks to Andymanone who supports me at every step, which is why my return after hospital stays became much easier and allowed me to return to my former activities related to the Atari community. Preparations for Silly Venture are progressing, we have received declarations of entries in the form of several cool games for Atari XL/XE, several 16kb intros... remember that you can also take part in competitions remotely. The prize for first place in the Atari XL/XE demo compo, due to the 35th anniversary of Atari STe, will be this computer 🙂

Thanks to everyone who supported me in these really difficult moments. I know that some of you are expecting a shipment from me and I will definitely catch up. For now, I am simply happy to be alive, and that I am able to continue this fantastic Silly (ad)Venture I started in 2000 year...

As announced in June this year, people who decide to buy a "Strong Support" ticket will receive the original game "Auf Widersehen Monty" on cassette (Atari XL/XE) - port of the C-16 game, prepared by the atariBDSM team and published by the Polish company RETRONICS.

As a reminder, here is the description of the game:

"Auf Widersehen Monty" is a Jet Set Willy style chamber game. It was released in 1987 for virtually all popular 8-bit computers, except the Atari XL/XE (as was unfortunately often the case...). The Atari version is a reverse-engineered adaptation of the C-16, much like "Monty on the Run".

Compared to "Monty on the Run" (MotR), the game features an improved game engine. Works in high resolution text mode with 32 columns. There are about 20 chambers, and each of them has been individually colored. The sprites are also colorful, which is unique in this type of graphics mode! The game also has colored pistons and coins. The chambers are not repeated, as was the case in "MotR", and present different countries through which the mole "travelles".

Rooms can now contain up to 4 software sprites plus Monty's character (5 objects in total). Compared to MotR, the sprites are animated.

The music from the C-64 was ported over for the game, but the original music from the C-16 was also retained and can be played during the game. The game runs in the following modes: Mono, Sprite Map, Color Map (requires VBXE).

By purchasing a Strong Support ticket, you not only support the event, but also become owners of a very cool game. If someone has already purchased a regular ticket, it is possible to pay extra on site.

The number of copies is limited, so don't wait until the last minute!

Ich habe 2 kleine Intros für die sv24se gem8, die Ihr nun auf meiner Webseite auch downlaoden könnt. Das Jaguar Intro ist komplett in BASIC geschrieben, da ich in absehbarer Zeit nicht dazu kommen werde auch nur ansatzweise 68k und 56k Assembler zu erlernen. Aber ich hatte einfach ein bischen rumgespielt und es kam halt das dabei raus. Viel Spaß beim Anschauen!

Vielen Dank an Grey (und sein Team) für eine erneute tolle Sillyventure. Leider war ich erneut nur Sofascener 😐

when and where can we find + download all programs from SV 2024 SE ? Not complaining, just curious, since I still could not find all A8 programs at demozoo or pouet...
